Frequently Asked Questions

How can we help you?

Where does Kebon coffee come from?

Guatemala and Uganda. We work in the region to partner with some amazing female coffee growers of single-origin coffees. We will continue to add and expand to bring you more flavors, so check back often.

Is Kebon coffee fair trade?

Yes, it is. We need to ensure women coffee growers are paid fairly for their work. It’s a business partnership benefitting women on both sides. If it’s not fair, it doesn’t work for us.

Is Kebon ethically sourced?

Absolutely. We have a transparent process and ask the same of our partners.

How fresh is the coffee?

The coffee is shipped to you as soon as we receive it. Typically within 48 hours.

Do you flavor the coffee?

No, there’s no need for us to add coffee to these exceptional beans. But, if you have a special way you like to enjoy your Kebon, go for it!

Why are my coffee beans dry? (not with an oily consistency)

Coffee does not need to be oily, it depends on the type of coffee bean or roast.
If you aren’t enjoying your coffee, reach out to us and we can recommend something that suits your taste.

What are tasting notes?

Coffee is special because it offers a complex mix of flavors. These flavors can be experienced at a sensory level, which makes it so cool! Similar to wine, every type of bean offers a different experience for your palate. Tasting notes are a shorthand to describe what your palate will taste. This is why we enjoy working at Kebon — uncovering new flavors just for you.

Do I have to use your brewing recommendations?

Not at all. You should brew the coffee the way you like it.

How much coffee comes in each bag?

12 oz or 4 oz of pure pleasure.
